American animated comedy ‘Despicable Me 4’ from today in 20 cinemas in Sri Lanka

American animated comedy film ‘Despicable Me 4’ will be screened in 20 cinemas in Sri Lanka from today.

The cinemas are Colombo City Centre, Liberty Cinemas Kollupitiya, Liberty Cinemas – Kiribathgoda, PVR Cinemas, Kandy City Centre, Milano Diamond, Amity Lite – Maharagama, Sky Lite – Matara, Aqua Lite –Negombo, Maxx Lite – Moratuwa, City by Lite - Mt. Lavinia, Voxx Lite – Awissawella, Majestic SUPERIOR, Majestic GOLD, Regal Katubedda, Regal Bandarawela, Regal Dematagoda, Regal Gampaha, Regal Nuwara Eliya and Regal Bronze Jaffna. Produced by Illumination tee movie serves as the sequel to Despicable Me 3 (2017), the fourth main instalment, and the sixth overall instalment in the Despicable Me franchise.

The film was directed by Chris Renaud, co-directed by Patrick Delage (in his feature directorial debut), produced by Chris Meledandri and Brett Hoffman, and written by Mike White and Ken Daurio. It stars the voices of Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Pierre Coffin, Joey King, Miranda Cosgrove, Steve Coogan, Sofía Vergara, Renaud, Madison Polan, Dana Gaier, Chloe Fineman, with Stephen Colbert, and Will Ferrell.

Gru welcomes a new member to the family, Gru Jr., who’s intent on tormenting his dad. However, their peaceful existence soon comes crashing down when criminal mastermind Maxime Le Mal escapes from prison and vows revenge against Gru.
