Back to Earth and Beyond (B2E & Beyond) specialists for environment friendly corporate gifts and recycled stationery items recently launched their winter collection of gift items. A family-owned enterprise which began production as a small home-based workshop has now gone beyond seas, placing Sri Lanka on the world map for exports of corporate gifts.

Incorporated in 1997 by the late Senarath Attanayake, a lawyer by profession but more of a community service professional, who has contributed a great service to the disabled community, especially in the Monaragala District as well the country, B2E & Beyond use nature’s discards to create environmentally friendly, rare and exclusive handmade products which are used across the world as corporate gifts, giveaways and souvenirs.

The unique thing about products manufactured is the fact that all raw materials used are from the discards of nature which is crafted artistically to create an exquisite range of corporate gift items and giveaways.

All products are handmade by poor households at Moneragala, Sri Lanka – creating employment and occupation for the lower tier within the economic circle. Another unique thing is that this chain of employees/cottage workers include those who are disabled, either by birth or during some time of their life – giving them a sense of hope for living. “B2E & Beyond aims at giving customer customised and specialised products to suit their various needs. Our products a unique, handmade and manufactured to precision to create that differentiation and wow factor,” stated B2E & Beyond Managing Director/CEO Jayampath Attanayake.

“Another unique fact is that while we believe in contributing towards the Sri Lankan economy by way of exports, we also create employment for deserving personnel situated in rural Sri Lanka. Therefore, every product sold locally or internationally contributes towards their livelihood and wellbeing.”

The range of products manufactured include organic cinnamon and tea based stationary products such as pencils, pens all made by using organic cinnamon and tea branches. Wooden gift items made out of up-cycled wood such as pen holders, memory stick, photo frames, paper dispensers, coasters, notebook covers, and organisers can also be customised to suit the requirement of the client.

All products are made out of discarded tree branches in addition to throwaway wood from rural backyards, plantations and carpentries located in rural Uva Province. In addition to this, the company also produces handmade and recycled wrapping paper which is a hot favourite of upmarket boutiques and retail chains in Sri Lanka and the US.

B2E & Beyond currently manufactures products for leading customers located in the US and Europe. In addition, their products can be purchased from ODEL and other leading retail chains locally.
