Chagall, Sri Lanka’s premiere hair and beauty salon has t decided to donate 10% from all services performed on both 8 and 9 March in commemoration of International Women’s Day, to the Sri Lanka Girl Guides Association Projects.
“Supporting and celebrating women’s rights is a year-round responsibility, but on International Women’s Day (IWD), which is on 8 March, it’s even more important to take a stand for women,” said Chagall Founder and Owner Gerald Solomons.
Whether it is a haircut, blow dry, manicure, pedicure, make up, sari drape, in short 10% of the entire gamut of Chagall’s offerings will be donated towards the Girl Guides Projects, which are numerous and which will take place island-wide.
“Women need to look good every day of their lives, [men too], but on this important day I thought it’s only suitable that we come up with something for women who are underprivileged, marginalised, in need of even the most basic of things which we take for granted and I’m sure that all our clients will be happy to know that they are part of this special effort,” said Gerald.
“As a result of the Pandemic, women and girls are even more at risk of abuse and discrimination and I am happy that this year Chagall can contribute towards their upliftment.”
