Cinnamon Grand Colombo unveils longest ever Yule Log

In a spectacular celebration of time-honoured Christmas traditions, Cinnamon Grand Colombo proudly presented the unveiling of the city of Colombo’s largest Yule Log ever, measuring an impressive 300 feet and weighing 300 kg.

On the morning of Saturday, 16 December, guests, friends, and well-wishers gathered for the official ceremony presided over by Cinnamon Colombo Hotels Area Vice President and Cinnamon Grand Colombo General Manager Kamal Munasinghe, along with Cinnamon Grand Colombo Executive Chef Kapila Jayasinghe.

“Cinnamon Grand Colombo continues to set the standard for hospitality in the city of Colombo, and we take immense pride in bringing this grand Christmas tradition to life. Our team of award-winning chefs dedicated over a week to crafting this unique masterpiece, and we are thrilled to share the joy of its unveiling with our guests,” remarked Munasinghe.

The 300-foot-long Chocolate Sponge log pays homage to the traditional French creation known as Bûche De Noël (Yule Log). Following the unveiling, the log was meticulously divided into individual blocks, each measuring 1 foot and weighing 1 kg.
