The Edith Cowan University Sri Lanka (with its local partner ACBT), recently opened its doors to the public unveiling seven floors of modern, elegant and functional interiors, carefully planned and designed to bring out the best in those utilising these spaces.
Delmege Interior was proud to be associated with the internationally renowned and recognised Edith Cowan University of Australia together with Architect Nilesh De Silva of Kahawita De Silva Associates, to execute the contract awarded to Delmege to create an aesthetically pleasing and functionally perfect interior for its premises located in Rajagiriya.
Delmege Interior provides a range of floor-to-ceiling solutions backed by an experienced and fully equipped installation unit and hence, the work carried out involved carefully crafted concepts and the selection of products such as flooring, partition systems, system furniture, classroom furniture, loose furniture, chairs, paintings, ceiling systems, window blinds, external signages, architectural light fittings and accessories to create a stunning ambience.
As one of the largest suppliers of world-renowned carpets, carpet tiles and floorings such as vinyl, luxury vinyl tiles and wooden flooring, Delmege had the option of selecting the most suitable product for each area based on usage and functionality with the architect’s selection and approval.
The charm and elegance of the spaces were further enhanced by the use of different colour themes for each floor, complemented by modern paintings, natural foliage and strategically placed lighting. Ergonomic furniture was selected considering the long hours spent on the premises by students and academic staff.
The work carried out included the reception, lobby, office areas, lecture halls, several laboratories to support the different disciplines, digital hubs, canteen, recreational areas, meeting rooms and restrooms, all of which were completed in under five months.
Commenting on the outstanding work done by Delmege Interior Décor, CEO Nilantha Fernando said, “Good interior design can not only make you feel safe and secure in your environment it is also known to boost productivity and creativity. Therefore, we have paid special attention to the design and look and feel of each space in consultation with the project architect and client.”
