While corporate wellness is gaining popularity among large and small businesses globally, it is also gaining traction locally as an effective platform to keep employees happy, healthy and engaged.

GOYO, Sri Lanka’s trendiest, wearable fitness app having reached greater heights since its launch only a year ago and garnered a popular following has now successfully ventured into helping organisations to uplift employee health and wellbeing.

Launching its latest attractive wellness proposition through an innovative Corporate Wellness programme, GOYO has partnered with South Asian Gateway Terminals Ltd. (SAGT), the first private container terminal operator in Sri Lanka to help employees reach their fitness goals.

GOYO’s Corporate Wellness program is designed especially for SAGT on a three month fitness evaluation model where staff is able to track and monitor their fitness activities and being rewarded.

The program designed to fit into typical Sri Lankans lifestyles, uses wearable fitness tracker, mobile app and offers attractive rewards through a range of reputed brands, incentivising customers to convert towards a more active lifestyle. During the last year GOYO has created a formula to make behavioural change in humans which is considered as a harder aspect of humans, in a fun manner. GOYO’s partner eco-system which revolves around keeping fit, living healthy and cultivating healthy habits is beneficial in collaborating with corporate fitness programmes.

“We understand employee wellbeing, which includes not only physical health, but also social connectedness is increasingly becoming critical to overall corporate business strategy. Getting staff to shift into active lifestyle will reducing stress levels, sick leaves and built confidence which will eventually improving organisational productivity and efficiency levels. This in turn will impact organisations bottom-line and drive to reach greater goals through their employees. Wearables and connected health and fitness devices play directly into this trend and employers are now increasingly taking notice and looking to promote its usage,” said General Manager, Information Technology – Digital and New Market Harsha Senanayake.

Additionally, addressing a growing prevalence and increase in the level of obesity among Sri Lankans, GOYO has made great strides by partnering leading corporates to address this rising epidemic which is a growing national concern.
