Brand ‘SAJ’ has been in the business of processing Ayurveda and Bureau Veritas certified glycerine-based soaps and shampoos for the last three years with positive success. All these products are unique in every sense as they are all handmade, herbal, natural, and of course very healthy since 95% of the ingredients are only from plant-based oils and powders.
SAJ Associates Ltd. Founder Jayampathy Arambepola speaking to the Financial Times said, “Our soaps are all made of ingredients from plant-based oils and powders. We have been catering to the new world trend in lifestyle for natural, herbal Ayurveda products. Accordingly, our soaps and shampoos carry the least amount of chemicals. Whatever chemicals is mostly as the customer wants the froth for its habitual usage.
Speaking further he said, “Our customers understand well the uniqueness of our ‘SAJ’ branded soaps and shampoos. We have now extended the same high-quality products to man’s closest friend, the doggy.”
“To give our dogs the best with the highest assured quality, we are proud to state that that our SAJ Doggy soaps and shampoos are now certified by the Veterinary Drug Control Authority of Sri Lanka (VDCA) of the Department of Animal Production and Health at Peradeniya in Kandy.
He further said, “The approval process is very tough, very long, extremely demanding and certainly not easy as you would know, with the demands of the SL professionals in all fields including in the veterinary field. With all the highly intensive demands of the veterinary professionals, we have obtained this prestigious certification with pride to give our doggies the best for their coat with a natural, herbal soap and two shampoos.” To make it easy for our consumers to purchase, the two products are now available in more than 200+ selected outlets at Keells, Food City and Arpico supermarkets island-wide.
Speaking further he said, “Looking at the future, with the high-quality standards of our products, we are already looking at international certification in Australia and the UK so that we could export to many more countries for the USD we want. Australia will be the first country of operation as the distribution strategy is already in place and the international certification process has already started as a priority in the New Year.”
