Kandy Bash returns after 5-year hiatus on 31 August at Havelock Grounds

After a lapse of five years, the Kandy Schools' Past Pupils' Association (KSPPA)has once again come together to organise their signature event “Kandy Bash 2024” where past students and their families will meet on Saturday 31 August from 3 p.m. onwards at Havelock Grounds Colombo 5.

KSPPA is represented by the Colombo branches of 13 Old Boys and Old Girls in Kandy namely Dharmaraja College, Mahamaya College, Kingswood College, Kandy Girls High School, St. Anthony’s College, Good Shepherd Convent, St. Sylvester’s College, St. Anthony’s Girls College, Trinity College, Hilwood College, Vidyartha College, Pushpadana Girls College and Sri Sumangala College. This year the participation will be boosted by the inclusion of Swarnamali Girls College which increases the total number of participants to 14 schools.

The main aim of organising this event is to strengthen the unity and cooperation among the member schools, to extend the friendship and to raise funds for the association which will be utilised for the development of Leadership Skills of the students of member schools.

The day’s program will commence with fun games for the old boys and old girls of member schools and there will be a play area for kids as well. The participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of food and beverages while listening to the ‘70s ‘80s and ‘90s music to the tune of Band MISTY from 8 p.m. onwards. The organising committee extends the invitation to their friends in Colombo and other parts of the country as well to come and enjoy the day with them.

The organising committee will be headed by Randika Dissanayake from Dharmaraja. College and Dilini Gunasekara from Mahamaya College and they will receive the support from the representatives of the member schools including the two patrons Chandana Ekanayake and Dineli Nugegoda.
