Spread across an expansive land area on the shoreline of Mount Lavinia, Loon Tao serves the finest Chinese seafood dishes originating from the four provinces of Sichuan, Shanghai, Peking and Canton. The ambience at Loon Tao is tropical, a combination of Balinese style and modest elegance. The restaurant opens to the beach that transforms the mood into a delightful liveliness with the pleasant tumult of the sea. As dusk slowly settles in ushering the twilight, Loon Tao becomes a magical place.

Loon Tao takes pride in serving freshly caught seafood from the Indian Ocean just steps away. The restaurant has been known for its delectable crab and lobster dishes, cooked to perfection and savoured by many who have patronised Loon Tao over the years. The menu features a range of dishes originating from the Land of the Red Dragon, which has been perfectly recreated by the master chefs of the restaurant. 

Begin your seafood feast with an array of starters including Prawns with Avocado Salad, Fried Crab Claws with Hot Garlic Sauce and Vegetable Spring Rolls, to whet your appetite. Loon Tao offers its diners both thick and clear soups. The signature Singapore Style Chili Crab is a delicious dish prepared with the famed Sri Lankan lagoon crab. Hot Butter Cuttlefish, Steamed Lobster in Soy Sauce and King Prawns with Black Pepper Sauce are yet other delectable dishes available at Loon Tao that guarantee to have diners craving for more. Classic Chinese delicacies such as the traditional Hot Pot, Steamed Garoupa with Lime and Chili and Cantonese Style Stir-Fried Prawns are also inclusive of the menu.
