Montblanc, the leading global luxury brand for business lifestyle, has announced the opening of its first boutique in Sri Lanka, located in Colombo. The new boutique, situated in the country’s first luxury shopping mall One Galle Face, features the latest Neo² retail concept currently being rolled out globally by the Maison.
The boutique promises an immersive experience for customers to explore the world of Montblanc, with dedicated areas for watches, writing instruments, leather goods, accessories and Montblanc’s growing range of technical devices.
The Neo retail concept designed by French designer and interiors architect Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance, articulates the Maison’s long-standing passion for craftsmanship in a pure and uncluttered contemporary environment that combines black, white and wood.
Meeting the needs of today’s urban explorers, the boutique features a dedicated travel area, offering a wide range of leather goods designed with style and exceptional functionality. These include Montblanc’s newest travel collection of #My4810 trolleys, combining Italian savoir-faire, German engineering and Japanese high-performance technology. Customers can also explore the pioneering patented treatments of the finest leather in Montblanc’s Extreme and the Urban Spirit collections.
Home to a wide selection of the Maison’s core writing instruments, the boutique currently showcases the new Walt Disney Characters Special Edition, a homage to the life and legacy of the beloved storyteller and creator of Mickey Mouse. Other key collections include Montblanc’s latest StarWalker collection, inspired by space exploration, and its annual Writers Edition – the latest of which is Rudyard Kipling, paying tribute to the literary genius of the English poet, short story master and novelist.
For watch enthusiasts, there is an extensive range of high complication timepieces, including the Montblanc 1858 collection and Heritage Chronométrie.
Commenting on the opening, Franck Juhel, President of Montblanc Middle East, India and Africa said: “We are delighted to open our first boutique in Sri Lanka, and to be part of the country’s development as a luxury retail hub in the region. Not only do we have a solid base of loyal collectors and customers here, but Sri Lanka is back on the path to attracting high-end visitors from around the world. That is why presenting Montblanc’s global retail concept is so important; it ensures immediate recognition, familiarity and consistency for our clients no matter where they visit Montblanc.” The Montblanc boutique is located on the Ground Floor in the One Galle Face shopping mall, Colombo. Synonymous with excellence in craftsmanship and design, Montblanc has been pushing the boundaries of innovation ever since the Maison first revolutionised the culture of writing in 1906. Ingenuity and imagination continue to be driving forces for the Maison today as it advances its expression of fine craftsmanship across product categories: luxury writing instruments, watches, leather goods, new technologies and accessories.
Reflecting upon its ongoing mission to create fine lifetime companions born from bold ideas and expertly crafted through the skills of the Maison’s artisans, the iconic Montblanc Emblem has become the ultimate seal of performance, quality and an expression of sophisticated style. With its origins deeply rooted in the culture of handwriting, Montblanc continues to assert its cultural commitment around the world honouring modern day patrons who support the advancement of the arts, as well as wide-ranging initiatives that promote arts and culture.
