The spa at Club Hotel Dolphin in Waikkal was ceremoniously opened last week.
This state-of-the-art facility was the latest addition to the hotel further to the extensive renovations that took place earlier this year.
The spa includes four well-appointed treatment rooms and is fitted with a steam room and sauna. Patrons from in and around can now experience world class spa facilities closer to home.
The spa is operated in partnership with Balinese Ayu Spas – a renowned spa operator in the country and all treatments will be carried out by highly-skilled Balinese masseuses. Inspired by Balinese healing traditions, the spa treatments at Club Hotel Dolphin are carefully designed to nurture and revitalise one’s body, mind and spirit.
The steam room and sauna supplement this by improving circulation, lowering blood pressure, reducing stress, clearing congestion, promoting skin health, aiding in workout recovery and relaxing stiff joints in addition to boosting the immune system.
Browns Hotels & Resorts Group General Manager Eksath Wijeratne commented: “We are absolutely thrilled to open our spa at Club Hotel Dolphin as it gives an added convenience to all of the guests staying with us, as well as to our loyal patrons from the area. There is no longer a need to travel all the way to Colombo to get world-class spa services.”
This addition gives Club hotel Dolphin a unique edge – everything you can possibly need made available all in one place; from accommodation on par with global industry standards and ultra-modern amenities, two outdoor swimming pools, four bars, two restaurants, two cafes, a conferencing venue, spa fitted with a sauna and steam room, fully-fledged gymnasium and a kids’ club.
The hotel also hosts a range of indoor and outdoor activities including badminton, tennis, beach volleyball, archery, squash, pool, billiards, chess, darts, table tennis, carom and a variety of board games to ensure there’s never a dull moment.
LOLC Group’s investments in the leisure sector are clustered under Browns Investments, which maintains controlling interest in a number of properties in iconic locations around the country.
The portfolio currently consists of Avani Bentota Resort, Club Hotel Dolphin, Dickwella Resort and Spa, Hotel Sigiriya, The Calm Resort & Spa, Occidental Paradise Dambulla, The Eden Resort and Spa, five boutique properties under Reveal and Sheraton Kosgoda Turtle Beach Resort. A further two projects; including a 5-star resort in Beruwala and Port City Mega Leisure development comprising of a 5-star city hotel are scheduled to be unveiled in the near future.
