Staying true to its yearly tradition, Park Street Mews, the city’s ultimate venue for food, retail and fashion, was recently lit up to mark the start of the festive season in Colombo.
The renowned architect associated closely with the Mews since its inception, Guest of Honour Channa Daswatte, sparked off proceedings by lighting up the street, revealing a magical ‘Winter in the City’ theme which was brought to life by entwining twigs adorned with pearls and crystals, fairy lights and sparkling décor in hues of white and gold with a touch of blue. Adding to the ambiance of the light-up, Tanuja Perera performed an array of well-loved carols and seasonal favourites throughout the evening.
Commenting on this year’s light-up, Developer of Park Street Mews, Tasneem Moosajee, stated: “Christmas is a time to bring family and friends together in a spirit of love, joy and hope. It’s a time to unwind, let go of the past and look back on all of the wonderful moments that we have cherished throughout the year. Every year our light-up is made possible by the enthusiasm and joint participation of all our wonderful restaurants down the street. I would like to thank them as well as our patrons for coming together to celebrate the start of the season with us.”
Throughout the holiday season, Park Street Mews will serve as a place to connect and spend time with your loved ones, a place to relax and celebrate this special time of the year. All of the venues at the Mews, including Café Français by Pourcel, the Mews Restaurant, Park Street Trattoria, Monsoon, Kuuraku, Curve Bar, the Boutique by Sonali Dharmawardena, Butter Boutique and Chambers will have specially curated menus and retail offerings to make the city’s best loved street the place to be throughout Christmas and the New Year.
