They came in their numbers. They waited in line for hours. They embraced the new collection with so much love. This is the passion of the #PepperCommunity
Cementing the fact that the brand is the preferred choice for Sri Lanka’s fashion-conscious, Pepper St., launched its flagship store today at Level III of the One Galle Face Mall amidst a gathering of family, friend, well-wishers, influencers, and the amazing brand followers who braved the crowds and endless queues to catch the first lease of the latest collection. The new store was declared open by the fathers of Founders Basith Yakoob and Dilen Fernando, paying tribute to the driving force behind the two young entrepreneurs.
Speaking at the opening ceremony the Founders noted, “Within a short space of a little more than a year Pepper St., has been embraced by our beloved community. The love and energy that every customer brings to the brand inspires us daily to take our products to the next level. The journey from an online store to our first store, and now today has been a strenuous one, but seeing the turn-out of support today is simply overwhelming and we are so thankful to each person who took time to be here today and continues to support all our endeavours.” Pepper St. first launched in the latter part of 2020 as an online store and then went on to open their first outlet at the One Galle Face Mall in March of 2022. The brand has since then grown in popularity and has become a pop culture icon not just among the younger generation, but also among those who live active lifestyles and look for comfort, class, and quality in their attire.
The opening also saw the participation of Colombo’s fashion influencers, key opinion leaders and celebrities including Sri Lankan national cricketer Bhanuka Rajapakse, former Miss.Sri Lanka Danielle Kerkoven, fitness trainers and FHIIT Sri Lanka Founder Yohan and Jessica Rathnayake, communications consultant Prasanna Pathmanathan, and influencers Ranshan Gomesz and Sasha Karunaratne among others. The new Project Pepper collection introduces loyal patrons to a world of possibilities with a classic turtleneck for men and women, a curved long-sleeve Henley, the Legacy Hoodie & Jogger 2.0 and the Play Up crop. The collection in all its glory is available in store and online.
