Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman Nomal Wijeyaratne said: “We are proud to unveil the latest showroom in a line of Quantum Fitness stores that we have planned for this year. We have identified strategic areas around the island and also want to feed the growing trend for healthy living in Sri Lanka.”
“Negombo is a major city in the Western Province and also has a considerable expatriate population. It is also a buzzing tourist destination with its close proximity to the international airport. A lot of hotels and resorts already exist in the area and many more are coming up. We hope to therefore cater to both corporate and home-use clients in the area,” added CEO Chandima Udabage.
Following religious observances, the branch located at 159 Chilaw Road, Periyamulla, Negombo was declared open to the public. The location itself is a convenient one with ample parking.
The Negombo outlet will stock the full range of Quantum Fitness products including cardiovascular and strength training machines along with commercial fitness equipment for hotels and gyms.
The branch will be open from 9.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. (weekdays) and 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. (weekends). Quantum Fitness is due to open its next branch in the gem country Ratnapura.
