SLAAPS Members Day 2019 ‘Christmas Masquerade’ a success

The Sri Lanka Association of Administrative and Professional Secretaries (SLAAPS) Members’ Day 2019, themed ‘Christmas Masquerade’, was held at Tangerine Beach Hotel, Kalutara recently. 

The event was a resounding success, having seen its highest participation in recent years. 

The highlight of the day was the presentation of the Member of the Year 2019 accolade, which was won by National Savings Bank, Colombo’s Rizana Azeez, who secured the highest score according to the evaluation criteria, which included attendance at all events during the year as well as support to the association through sponsorship and gifts during the year under review.

Apart from this, the members of the Executive Committee, who had actively participated in all or the majority of the projects and events held during the year, were identified and feted with an appreciation award presented by President Ruveena Cader, for their dedication, loyalty and support towards the association. Shireen Rajee secured the highest score for the Appreciation Award.

The day’s program included many activities, games and competitions. Prizes were presented to all winners. The first prize in the raffle draw, which was a return air ticket to Abu Dhabi with the compliments of Ethihad Airways, was won by Nishantha Pathirage of Nations Trust Bank. There were many stalls for members to do their Christmas shopping and it was a memorable day enjoyed by all present.
