SLT-Mobitel, the National ICT Solutions Provider ushered in Christmas celebrations for 2022 with festive carols and beautiful illuminations of a few major offices.
Recognising that Christmas is the most significant religious festival for Christians across the world and its importance locally, SLT-Mobitel annually commemorates Christmas with utmost honour and respect.
The much-awaited annual SLT-Mobitel Christmas carols was organised with the event comprising of two segments including the carol service and the distribution of gifts to needy children. Choristers were representatives from SLT’s own ‘Kithunu Ekamuthuwa’ and from the SLT Head Office and regional offices including staff from Jaffna, Batticaloa and Trincomalee branches. Sharing the season with everyone, bringing joy and hope, the carols were live streamed via Charana, Channel 200 internal TV channel with a repeated telecast.
Keen to focusing on the real joy of Christmas and giving to those in need, SLT-Mobitel donated books, schoolbags and other stationery items to underprivileged children.
SLT-Mobitel senior management including Group Chairman Rohan Fernando, Group Chief Executive Officer Lalith Seneviratne, SLT Chief Executive Officer Janaka R. Abeysinghe, Mobitel Chief Executive Officer Chandika Vitharena, SLT Chief Operating Officer Saman Abeysekara, SLT Chief Marketing Officer Prabhath Dahanayake, other representatives of SLT-Mobitel management and members of ‘Kithunu Ekamuthuwa’ graced the occasion.
To make the event and the season more festive, SLT-Mobitel decorated and illuminated prominent locations. Among the areas beautifully adorned were the SLT-Mobitel Head Office, and the Lotus Road stretch up to Chatham Street.
Additionally, all SLT-Mobitel customer touchpoints from Kalutara to Chilaw were decorated with special Christmas deco and ceiling installations. The SLT Tower was decked with a Christmas tree and wrapped trees along the Lotus Street.
