With the Sinhala and Tamil New Year just around the corner, Selyn, Sri Lanka’s only fair-trade handloom company, partners with a selection of locally based businesses to help you celebrate the New Year.
The brands present at the Selyn pop-up would be Andrea Boekel, Tiras, Kimbula, Kumbuk and Win Lanka; offering a wide variety of locally sourced and produced items to add to the aura of Avurudu. Hosted by Selyn, the special New Year pop-up will be held on Saturday 30 March from 9.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. at its flagship store on 102, Fife Road, Colombo 05.
The Selyn New Year pop-up is the perfect place to get a head start on your gifts and get an early fix on all the New Year treats with special discounts and offers. In addition to the exciting line up of all local stores, there will also be stalls for traditional Avurudu sweets and eatables made by local, experienced hands for your enjoyment. The line-up of retailers who will be at the pop-up can be found below in more detail.
Selyn will be offering a 10% discount on select garments for the Sinhala and Tamil New Year; for the season, they will be expanding their collection for ladies, gents, and children in the auspicious colours for the New Year, along with a range of household items that could take centre-stage in the decoration of the house for the festive season. Selyn houses other local and social brands that enable and empower local manufacturers from up-cycled products like coasters, to table mats and bags; to environmentally conscious products from brands such as Island Lush, Lonali, Rice and Carry, Cally, Maze, Booteek, Salvage and I am Upcycled to name a few.
