New store aims to offer experiential journey unlike any before, boasting even more top global brands and new categories
Softlogic welcomed hundreds of guests this week to the grand opening of its new Softlogic Max Mt. Lavinia showroom as part of the company’s business strategy to continue boosting presence by expanding customer touch points across its Consumer Electronics Retail arm.
The broadening footprint of Softlogic Max is also strengthened by its “Maximum Experience” brand promise, providing customers the largest international brand line-up of TVs, refrigerators, washing machines and other consumer electronics and lifestyle products for their household at competitive prices. The Softlogic Max stores are managed by Softlogic Retail Ltd., a fully owned subsidiary of Softlogic Holdings PLC.
The action-packed open house was inaugurated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Softlogic Holdings PLC Chairman/Managing Director Ashok Pathirage.
The latest Softlogic Max showroom is centrally located at No. 156 Galle Road to attract customers from the surrounding area. “The official Grand Opening of our new Mt. Lavinia two storey showroom marks an open invitation for customers to stop by and experience a spectacular shopping experience,” said Softlogic Retail Ltd. Director – Consumer Electronics Channel Induka Perera.
“The showroom consists of two storeys – 2,500 sq. ft. on the ground floor and 2,900 sq. ft. on the first floor. We are also introducing a comprehensive bedroom, dining room, and living room furniture line-up that is affordable, stylish and comfortable, under the Softlogic LifeStyles furniture brand. Bedroom furniture includes beds, bedside tables, dressing tables and wardrobes. Living room furniture includes coffee tables, sofas, and single seaters. Dining room furniture includes 4 and 6 seater dining sets and centre tables. We also carry an exciting range of fitness equipment for home gym enthusiasts who are keen to boost their energy and stay healthy.”
With the opening of its latest store the total number of Softlogic stores located around the country comes to a total of 220, which includes 20 Softlogic Max stores located island wide. The Mt. Lavinia store is unlike any of its predecessors, striking a balance as a technology showcase that also provides the openness and comfort of space with unrivalled customer service. “Mt. Lavinia’s bustling community having a high disposable income will now have the opportunity to explore an extensive range of consumer electronics and home appliances from the world’s top international brands, a diverse line up of quality affordable furniture and fitness equipment,” he added. The media and members of the public were presented with a guided tour, starting with ground floor displays of consumer electronics products including TV, Audio-Video products and refrigerators as well as washing machines, air conditioners, air coolers, small kitchen and home appliances, and ICT and office automation categories (computers; desktops/laptops, fixed line phones, cordless phones, mobiles phones and accessories) from global power brands Panasonic, Samsung, Whirlpool, Candy, DELL, Acer, Nokia, Apple, TCL, Godrej and Vego among others. In recent years, Softlogic has also successfully built a private label strategy and introduced its own popular Softlogic Prizm Smart TVs as well as a range of consumer electronics and home appliances under the Softlogic Maxmo brand.
The first floor of this exciting one-stop destination showcases the leading kitchen appliance brand Candy from Italy, with its wide range of built-in and free-standing kitchen appliances which include ovens, hoods, hobs and cookers. The floor also showcases the contemporary Softlogic LifeStyles furniture range, which includes living room, bedroom, dining room furniture, mattresses and other furniture accessories starting from just Rs. 13,000. It also carries the newly introduced SmartFit Fitness Equipment Schwinn & Xterra which includes a wide range of treadmills, elliptical trainers, and upright bikes backed by the SmartFit warranty starting from as low as Rs. 19,900.
