Swarnamahal Sri Lanka’s number one jeweller last week launched its latest outlet down Galle Road in Bambalapitiya.

The shop aims to attract more customers to indulge in the wide variety of charms the spree has to offer.
Swarnamahal is the jewel marque with the most number of openings in the country and has on sale items made of yellow gold, white gold, platinum and silver. They continue to lead the jewellery industry commanding over 65% of the market share. The company takes pride in its workshop that is fully equipped with state-of-the-art machinery, internationally trained designers, and its experienced team of goldsmiths, qualified in the manufacture of traditional and western handcrafted jewellery.

Not only does the establishment offer gold crafted chains, bracelets and bangles but has a wide range of precious stoned rings and pendants. Blue Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald and Cat’s Eye are few of the many stones that could be inculpated into the trinkets purchased.
Branch Manager Susantha Perera said that the company is recognised for its wedding and bridal sets, whereby all Sinhala, Muslim and Tamil cultured bridal jewellery are designed on a regular basis according to the customer’s preference. The 26 piece Kandyan bridal set consists of a moon and sun, head chain, karapati throatlet, earrings, three pendants with chains, pethi necklace, agasti necklace, sarri (thick) bangles, gedi bangles and a hawadiya (hip chain). Sawardi sets for Muslim bridal wear and Thaali chains for Tamil bridal wear are also available at the newly opened outlet.

A men’s wear collection is also accessible in chains, bracelets and rings whereby Nawaratne rings that are believed to be good luck charms could also be obtained. A new featured item is the lock type bangle that comprises of a special lock system for safety purposes. While all items are available in hand cut or machine cut pieces, a machine cut item from one to four pound gold is priced at approximately Rs. 65,000.
Furthermore discounts will be offered to all customers from 8 to 10 December on every purchase made. Purchases over Rs. 100,000 will be rewarded with a free gold coin and regular customers will be presented with special discounts and gifts. 50% off labour charges will also be attained during these dates.
