Workshop Players to hold auditions on 19 May for “Fiddler on the Roof”

The Workshop Players has announced auditions for their upcoming production of the beloved musical “Fiddler on the Roof” scheduled to grace the Lionel Wendt stage from 5 to 13 October.

The title sponsor of this mega production is Cargills (Ceylon) PLC that has supported the arts over the years.

Aspiring actors, singers, and dancers are invited to be part of this iconic tale set in the heart of Anatevka, Russia, circa 1905. The Workshop Players is inviting all who wish to audition, promising an enriching experience and the opportunity to showcase their talent.

Before stepping into auditions on 19 May at the Cargills (Ceylon) PLC Building, housed at No 40, York Street, Colombo 1, prospective participants are advised to familiarise themselves with the play’s rich narrative and characters. “Whether you’re drawn to the lead roles or excited to be part of the vibrant ensemble, there’s a place for everyone in this timeless production,” a spokesperson said.
