Celebrate the day with a brunch as big as a father’s heart at the Taj Samudra Colombo on Sunday, 19 June from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Samudra Ballroom with over 75 dishes from around the World. Father’s day family brunch is sure to bring the whole family together so you can salute a very special man. 

To make this occasion extra special, the Taj Samudra, Colombo will surprise and delight all Father’s by offering a discount for you and your Father that’s equal to his age on the brunch at the Samudra Ballroom.

The splendid array of dishes cater to all and sundry and each and every one’s unique taste as the tantalising spread includes salads, grills, carvings, a pasta counter, juice counter, seafood from lobster to oyster, egg stations, open sandwiches, soups, desserts and the main buffet. 

The impressive menu will include a lavish spread of cuisines ranging from Sri Lankan, Indian, Japanese, Chinese and Thai counters. The fascination with each countries authentic dishes prompted the chef to conjure favorites such as from the cold cuts corner glazed chicken ham and grilled peas, smoked salmon and seer fish, seafood terrine, steamed lagoon prawns, oyster and lobster on ice, black forest ham and many more. Poached pear salad, blue cheese candied red onion salad, lagoon prawns and scallops, smoked ham and dressings with 15 varieties of salads will be on the cards too. 

From the mains ginger prawn veloute, rose wine poached chicken breast, baby spinach sauté, Thai herb rubbed lamb and much more, while the Japanese corner will offer nigiri, maki roll, sushi and miso soup. Also Awadhi chicken biryani, seafood pad Thai, ravioli and many more will be on the cards too.

With over 25 varieties, the desserts are simply divine! The tempting delicacies are specially prepared for all dads who crave sweet things. A special assortment of homemade chocolates and pralines are available for the chocolate lovers along with a chocolate fountain. 

The magnificent display of epicurean delicacies is expertly concocted by the Executive Chef Dhaithya Krawage and his team for Father’s Day on 19 June with live entertainment by talented Colombian saxophonist Dumbira Lippez.
