  • Mid-season lingerie collection epitomises the elements – fire, water, air and earth
amanté looked to nature for inspiration with its new luxury lingerie collection labelled ‘Enchanting Elements’. The collection celebrates the many facets of femininity that embody nature’s powerful elements – fire, water, air and earth. Punctuating the traditional fashion seasons with a mid-July launch, amanté now offers customers added variety with the release of three collections per year instead of the traditional two. Enchanting Elements features luxurious Jacquard weaves in its lingerie, a unique use of the fabric. Its intricate designs, achieved by skilled weavers, allow for sophisticated designs that add elegance to the collection. With its latest collection, amanté continues to display the potential for women’s inner-wear in Sri Lanka to infuse confidence, glamour and subtle sensuality. Incorporating sleek lines, and sensuous contours, the collection’s three main styles, ‘Sublime Satin’, ‘Sheer Stripes’ and ‘Enchantment’ are the products of extensive research. The line personifies the intrinsic nature of today’s woman, with Fire encapsulating her spiritedness; Water, her refreshing compassion; Air, her optimism and profound depth; and Earth, her persevering and ambitious nature. Enchanting Elements bras sport amanté’s signature 2mm thin padded cups, projecting a natural look. The collection offers versatility to the wearer with non-wired silhouettes for added comfort, removable straps for evening wear and boy shorts that conceal the panty line. The soft floral Sublime Satin style comes in lush turquoise with matching straps and uses the reversible quality of Jacquard fabric to enhance its design. The Sheer Stripes style comes in chocolate, burnt orange and shell and are embellished with metal amanté tags giving it the true premium look. The Enchantment style comes in striking forest and blue jewel colours, with a tone-on-tone textured surface of a leaf pattern.   Speaking on the belief system behind the collection Manager – Range Management & Communications Gayani Gunawardane explained: “The Enchanting Elements Collection is about capturing the inherent qualities that make women so intriguing and deserved of admiration. The collection is designed to give women the freedom to embrace their individuality and spirit while finding the courage to be true to themselves. “Our extensive research and forecasts brought to light a revolutionary use for Jacquard fabric – the core fabric utilised in the line, and has redefined the scope of the collection. The fabric is so versatile in fact, that it allows the design element of interchanging its front and reverse, which has also been incorporated into the range. Traditionally, amanté has launched two lines each year; Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter, however starting this year we will be introducing one more collection. The first of this initiative is the launch of ‘Enchanting Elements’ and we are excited to present what we have in store for the future.” A woven fabric, made through loom attachment, Jacquard boasts independent warp yarn, which allows its main two fabric types, damask and brocade, to be manipulated into highly versatile designs.  What sets Jacquard based designs apart, is the texture and quality of its fabric as opposed to fabrics where design and patterns are painted on.   In keeping with the sensuality and glamour quotient of ‘Enchanting Elements’, the Jacquard fabric is an indication of its femininity and elegance emphasised through soft lines and simple prints. Designed in bright colours, the line also exemplifies the ornate beauty of the vibrant summer season. The brand’s flagship boutique at the Racecourse Mall will stock the new collection and is also equipped with trained fit consultants to ensure each customer finds the product that personifies her personality and presents her with the perfect fit experience.
