Expographic bookstore, Pelawatte in collaboration with Power of Play Ltd will host ‘Mahadanamuththa and modern Golayas’ Avurudu Ulella’ Saturday, 26 April 2014 from 10:30 a.m. onwards at Expographic Bookstore, Pelawatte (455, Pannipitiya Road, Pelawatta). ‘Mahadanamuththa and modern Golayas’ Avurudu Ulella’ is an ideal opportunity for families to get actively involved in playing the traditional games of the Sinhalese and Tamil New Year in a non-competitive celebration of culture, friendship and team work. Everyone young and young at heart is invited to play with them dressed in your favourite traditional dress and enjoy a morning of laughter and good will. Puppet performance will be in Sinhala and interactive games will be conducted primarily in Sinhalese with English translations available upon request.

Premiered in 2010 at the Indonesian Embassy of Colombo, the modern Golayas of Mahadanamuththa has delighted diverse Sri Lankan audiences while discussing issues of social, economic and cultural importance.
