The Annual Christmas Carols of St. Joseph’s College, Colombo 10 will be held in the vast arena of the Fr. Stanley Abeysekara Sports Complex at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, 3 December.
This immensely spectacular, yet intensely solemn service will be organised and conducted by St. Cecilia’s Choir of St. Joseph’s College Colombo, tracing incarnation of God becoming a man. This year the theme will highlight the apparent contradiction of the King of Angels taking the form of a helpless baby in a manager in Bethlehem because of His love for them. The 70 strong school’s choral outfit known as St. Cecilia’s Choir of St. Joseph’s College will render ancient and modern in classical and contemporary forms, Christmas compositions backed by a keyboard/orchestral accompaniment, will blended.
The Old Joes Choir, runners-up in the ‘World Choir Games’, will present two carols in elegant form, preceding whom will be the 100 strong angelic voices of the primary students. The teacher’s choir too, as is customary will sing in their own sweet styles.
