Avurudu at Cinnamon Lakeside’s Goodies

Every year the celebration of the Sinhala and Tamil New year, brings hope of new beginnings and fresh promises, as Sri Lankans of all backgrounds, living side by side come together on this delightful festive season. 

Paying homage to the festive season, Goodies at Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo plans to capture the essence and spirit of Avurudu with a range of Sinhala and Tamil New year sweetmeats packed in two special hampers available for the diner’s convenience.  The first hamper consists of the traditional sweets such as konda kawum, athiraha, mung athiraha, asmi, kalu dodol, thalaguli and milk toffee for Rs. 2,100, while the second hamper consists of the same items in larger quantities for a price of Rs. 2,700.  

Tourists and locals alike enjoy these traditional sweetmeats that are prepared, by especially skilled chefs. Goodies is the delicatessen at Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo, and is open from 7:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. The Avurudu sweetmeat hampers will be available from the 8 to 19 April.
