Avurudu at the Galadari

  The Galadari Hotel will be celebrating Avurudu with warmth and joy keeping loyal to traditional customs. On Avurudu day the hotel will be conducting the traditional milk boiling ceremony along with ‘raban’ playing and an Avurudu table dedicated to its in-house guests. In addition to this the hotel’s popular Pastry Chef, Pradeep Fonseka has created an Avurudu ribbon cake sandwiched with butter icing decorated with almond paste and cashew nuts. The cake is adorned with edible parchment icing ‘Araliya’ flowers. Also on offer are the Avurudu sweetmeat packs which include a variety of traditional Avurudu goodies. All these are made available at the Café 64 pastry shop from 10 to 15 April from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. With the intention of further keeping the Avurudu spirit alive the General Manager Sampath Siriwardena, Financial Controller Upali Perera together with Shirani David the Human Resources Manager made special arrangements to gift all hotel employees with an attractive Avurudu gift pack.
