Axiata and iflix sign non-binding MOU to expand collaboration to bring best entertainment to Axiata

Axiata Group Berhad (Axiata), one of Asia’s largest telecommunications groups with presence in 10 countries across ASEAN and South Asia, and iflix, the world’s leading Subscription Video on Demand (SVoD) service for emerging markets, yesterday announced the signing of a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding relating to the expansion of their strategic collaboration to bring the best in entertainment to Axiata’s more than 125 million customers in six countries. 

From two existing successful partnerships with Celcom in Malaysia and Dialog in Sri Lanka, the regional collaboration is intended to extend to Axiata’s customers at XLin Indonesia, Smart in Cambodia, Robi in Bangaldesh and Ncell in Nepal. 

In addition, iflix and Axiata intend tojointly produce content specially created for Axiata’s customers in the markets covered by the collaboration.

All of Axiata’s customers will be able to enjoy iflix’s world-class service and vast library oflocal, regional and western content, utilising Axiata’s leading, best in class connectivity and technology across the region.
