Barista Lavazza celebrates International Coffee Day

It was an evening of celebration at the Barista Lavazza National Museum outlet on 27 September evening, as the Colombo coffeehouse marked International Coffee Day.

Barista Lavazza celebrated the occasion with a special promotion at the beginning of August which rewarded loyal customers with special prizes. Customers needed to spend a minimum of Rs. 1,000 to enter the grand draw at any of the Barista Lavazza outlets and multiple entries were given for every Rs. 1,000 spent. Enthusiasm for the promotion was seen throughout the month with over 10,000 entries received for the grand draw. The draw itself was held on 23 October at the Rajagiriya outlet where 12 winners were rewarded with prizes ranging from two return air tickets to Italy and hotel stays to electronic items and gift vouchers from partner organisations. All gifts were sponsored by SriLankan Airlines, Abans, ATOM, Far Cry Hotel Wasgamuwa, Ranna212 Tangalle, Galle Face Hotel, No Limit, Avirate, and Laksala while the electronic media partner for the event was Lite Fm who came onboard as the associate sponsor. All prize-winners were presented with gifts at a mega event that saw winners, their families and other guests come together for an evening of celebration, great food and coffee accompanied by the soothing sounds of the Musicmatters Trio and Sheranga Perera.
