Blockbuster line-up on Hiru TV this weekend

Over the weekend, Hiru TV will air a series of blockbuster movies, offering top entertainment to its viewers. Today (23) at noon, the Tamil movie ‘Billa 2’ will aired. David Billa, a refugee, comes to Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu and his journey begins into crime. Initially he starts as a local diamond smuggler. He eventually meets Abbasi, an underworld don in Goa and helps him out in a deal and wins his favour.

For one of Abbasi’s deals Billa goes to Georgia where he meets a ruthless international don Demitri.

They get acquainted that creates a rift between Abbasi and Billa. A challenge is thrown by Billa to Abbasi and he starts building his own empire, which eventually results in Billa crossing swords with Demitri himself.

The bloody battle begins in Goa and ends in Georgia.

Directed by Chakri Toleti, the movie features Ajith Kumar, Parvathy Omanakuttan, Bruna Abdullah and Sudhanshu Pandey.

This will be followed by the Hindi movie ‘Son of Sardaar’ at 10 p.m., a 2012 Bollywood action comedy film directed by Ashwni Dhir which tells the story of a man who returns to his parents’ village, only to become the latest target in a long-standing family feud.

The film features Ajay Devgan, Juhi Chawla, Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles.On Sunday at noon, the Sinhala movie Ran Diya Dahara will be telecast, directed by Udayakantha Warnasooriya, with Geetha Kumarasinghe, Jackson Anthony, Kamal Addaraarachchi, Sanath Gunathilake, Jeevan Kumaranatunga, Tony Ranasinghe, Mahendra Perera, Hendry Jayasena and Anula Karunathilake.
