Reaching another milestone in beauty therapy and bridal dressing, Thushari Samaranayake unveiled her first outlet Salon Thushari, at no. 451/27 Thimbirigasyaya place Colombo 5 recently.
Many distinguished guests including Maliban Chairmen A.G. Ratnapala Samaraweera, Brides of Sri Lanka Editor Nelam, Janaki Salon CEO Janaki, Solex UNICO Water Farm Managing Director Manju, Bileeta CEO Sanji, Preety Fernando representing Wedding Flowers, Mega and Sameetha Wijesekara attended the ceremony, which kickstarted with the lighting of the traditional oil lamp.
Creating more than 300 brides on the ramp and being the shadow of many brides on their special day, Thushari told the Daily FT: “I am indeed proud to open up something on my own. During the journey I have made, many obstacles came my way. With the help of my family and friends, I was able to get over it all. I want to thank my family for being there at time of need.”
“I hope to carry on my career in bridal dressing and designing, with the help of all my friends in this industry,” she said.
The salon offers services ranging from bridal dressing, hairstyles, make up, saree drape, facials, clean up, detoxify facial, face bleach, waxing, bikini line waxing, manicure, pedicure, shampoo cuts, hair colour, highlights, hot oil massage, conditioning treatment, and a variety of many other facilities.
