Driving force behind the show, Brides of Sri Lanka Managing Director Nelum Haththella says, “This show will also showcase the bridal creations of the legendary seniors in the field together with the fresh young talented newcomers to the profession. This anniversary event continues that tradition. We’re also happy to launch the first ever Bridal and Wedding Coffee Table Book in Sri Lanka, which will be available for purchase right after the show. The bridals on the catwalk will be portrayed in full paged splendour in this book with fantastic photo shoots done by seven of Sri Lanka’s talented wedding and fashion photographers. They are Dimitri Crusz, Rasanga Dissanayake, Studio 3000DF, Studio U, Danush de Costa, Mahesh Mannapperuma and Arantha Sirimanne. This will be a world’s first where the same model or bridal will be available in print form immediately after the show,” Haththella proudly said. The coffee table book will also contain a few selected generic articles on weddings by celebrated figures of the industry. It will also tell the reader the story of Brides of Sri Lanka from its beginnings to its 25th issue, in article and pictorial form. This will be a unique book that a prospective bride can hand down the generations. Displayed at star class hotels, salons, restaurants and offices, it will thus reach a very large reading public. The official launch of the coffee table book will be at the after party. Those interested can however pre-order by calling 011 574 7575 or visiting www.bridesofsrilanka.com for more information.
