CFW presents first-ever Design Trunk Show from 29-30 November

In just over a decade, Colombo Fashion Week (CFW) has established itself as the backbone of the local fashion design industry. As part of its effort to uplift fashion designers in Sri Lanka, CFW will present the first-ever Design Trunk Show to be held in Sri Lanka at the Galle Face Hotel from 29 to 30 November. The CFW Design Trunk Show is an initiative that will continue throughout the year thus by creating an innovative retail opportunity for Sri Lankan designers. The CFW Design Trunk Show will be held for the duration of 24 hours from 4 p.m. on 29 November to 4 p.m. 30 November showcasing 10 of Sri Lanka’s leading fashion designers who have frequently partnered with CFW. The show provides an interesting commercial platform for designers allowing them to showcase their work and network with customers. Top designers Sonali Dharmawardena, Yoland Aluwihare, U by Upeksha, Charini Suriyage, Conscience for Land Rover, Ramona Oshini, Indi by Indeevari Yapa, Stefel by Peronie, Yasisurie and Aale by Radhika will be unveiling their seasonal collections, available for fashion enthusiasts to purchase. The Design Trunk Show is supported by Land Rover and Tiesh, an up-and-coming designer jewellery brand. This initiative is further supported by an online retail partnership between CFW and WOW.lk, a subsidiary of Dialog, which supports CFW Curates. CFW Curates helps create a fashion retail experience online by providing an effective online channel for designers to reach their customers.
