CJS re-launches more interactive and ‘hip’ website

Promising a whole new and heightened customer experience, Colombo Jewellery Stores (CJS) re-launched its website yesterday amidst great fanfare in the presence of its brand ambassador, Bollywood starlet Jacqueline Fernandez.

Launched by Fernandez and CJS CEO Akram Cassim, the revamped website (www.cjs.lk) offers a better and more interactive experience with in-depth information on its many products, on the company, the events it hosts and even a clear overview of CJS’s long and colourful history. 

“CJS is now a 90 year old company but we keep bringing in new and innovative products and services in order to provide our patrons with a great customer experience which is what this cool, hip new website will cater to,” explained Akram at the launch. “The re-launched website is cool and hip and will take customers through the entire CJS experience even before they enter the store.”

He added that in addition to connecting to their customers via the website, the store also operates a Facebook page which has now garnered a large following and on this, the store holds competitions and interacts with their followers more closely.

“We are here today to re-launch the website and I will be in it!” Fernandez said, laughing. “It will be really cool and it’s a great insight into Colombo Jewellery Stores, the great products it has to offer and offers an in-depth look into its history, a timeline and what they have in store.”

She also offered some insights into Colombo Jewellery Stores’ next campaign which will be launched in January 2013, one that has been shot out of Colombo, in Kandy and various other locations.  

“It’s great to be back and we’ve come back from shooting a wonderful new campaign in Kandy and I can say that this is one of the best campaigns we’ve done so far since I’ve started working with Colombo Jewellery Stores and Akram.” 

Fernandez went on to say that the three years she’s been with CJS has proved to be a great experience and that the company has a great team and is a pleasure to work with. “It’s a very prestigious brand that I’ve always looked up to. Three years ago, when Akram came up to me, it was when I had just entered the Bollywood industry and that scene and I was really honoured when he approached me at the time. Now that we’re in our third year, I just think that it’s been a fabulous relationship and I feel very bonded to CJS as well! I genuinely love the jewellery and hope it continues as such.”
