Häfele’s Design Centre concept

Design concepts and ideas can be better understood when they are experienced in live set-ups. This is the ideology that backs the company’s initiative of establishing state-of-the-art design centrrs represented in the form of an international retail set-up; where customers can walk in and experience world-class functionality, seamlessly rooted into latest global design trends.

Quite inherent to what they do, Häfele is a strong believer of the mantra that ‘Form follows Function’ and the trick is to combine Functionality with Aesthetics and make them work in almost unperceivable unison. This is explicitly displayed in all Häfele Design Centre showrooms worldwide.

To this experience of functionality, Häfele adds a competent service of designing kitchens and wardrobes ably extended to customers by an expert team of designers who exclusively operate from the Design Showrooms.

The typical layout of any of Häfele’s Design Showrooms includes real-time displays of the company’s many product functionalities including a live kitchen which is equipped with storage areas, appliances and other utilities. Commenting on the live kitchen concept, Jürgen Wolf, Managing Director of Häfele South Asia says: “Stylish hardware fittings that give you the best functionality for your individual application in your business or residence are hard to select from a catalogue. The new live kitchen section gives the customers a firsthand feel of the products before they purchase it. Functionality is how we think; functionality is what we make and functionality is what we sell. Häfele is proud to introduce this quality to the Sri Lankan market through this exclusive Häfele Design Centre in Colombo.”Starting 2016, on a firm ground

With the launch of its new Design Centre in Colombo, Häfele affirms its commitment in identifying and understanding the specific needs of the customers across segments and provide them with desired benefits. All Häfele products carry a comprehensive warranty and stand for quality and design keeping functionality at the top of the mind.

The world class Design Centre in Colombo showcases the latest cutting edge fittings now available to the customers in a real-life environment – in short, a comprehensive one stop shop solution for modern architecture and interior designs.

This facility also initiates the company’s focus, for 2016, on further strengthening its retail presence in Sri Lanka. Following this, the company plans to open Exclusive Franchise shops in prominent markets of the country to increase its retail penetration. The Franchise shops will carry the same philosophy, in design and execution, as the Design Centres; delivering the company’s product offerings and service proposition in a uniform method to its customers. This makes the process of selecting prospective Franchise Partners extremely stringent and rigorous as the company is particular about aspects like quality and service.

“We are very particular while selecting our Franchise partners and are looking for only those like-minded people who can match up to our international standards of quality in terms of shop interiors and displays and are willing to make the necessary investments in delivering on our strong service proposition,” says Jürgen Wolf.

Häfele set its foot in Sri Lanka in 2010 as an extension to its Indian Operations with the encouragement and constant motivation of Wolf. The growing hardware demand and the increasing architectural maturity motivated the company to start full commercial operations in Sri Lanka.
