Strategically-placed lamps casting a warm glow on the grassy slopes and gentle waters of the lagoon, just a few feet away, created the perfect setting for the first leg of MasterChef Australia superstar Kumar Pereira’s Culinary Journey at the Jetwing Lagoon resort in Negombo.
Mouth-watering aromas tantalised the diners who milled about the area holding glasses of fruit juice, while admiring the breathtaking view of the Negombo lagoon at dusk, with the distant lights twinkling on the far coast reflecting off the waters, and the crash of the surf breaking on the beach located just off the road mingling with the soothing sound of the waves of the lagoon blending into the background.
