Sunsilk, Unilever’s flagship hair care brand together with their long term project partner Ramani Fernando Hair and Beauty Academy held their graduation ceremony and hair show recently. The graduating students who are trained stylists and beauticians, transformed the tresses into works of art of over forty models, creating a stunning show, choreographed and produced by the well known fashion consultant, Senaka De Silva.

During this year’s award ceremony, nearly 100 graduates from both the Colombo and Kandy Academies received their Diplomas and awards for special achievements. Among them were three international gold medal winners chosen by City and Guilds (C&G) United Kingdom for their exceptional performance during last year’s international examination.

All the glamour and sophistication of an international hair show was evident as students did more than create a show of stunning looks; they showcased their fullest creative talent through phenomenal fantasy creations and mysterious oriental hairstyles on leading models. The spectacular event had the students’ creations falling into three themes. ‘Fantasy – dramatised in the form of the Journeys of Imagination’, ‘Heavenly Highlights portraying Fluorescent Looks and ‘Mysteries of the Orient – sculpting creativity on long tresses.’
