Dilly and Carlo celebrated 25 years in the fashion business by opening its flag ship store in Flower Road on 19 June. The event was one of a kind, with a fashion show choreographed by Brian Kerkovan to a novel idea from the Dilly’s creative team. It turned out to be fresh, innovative as well as classy – the true Dilly’s signature.
The closing sequence of the midnight blue Voyages Batik collection ‘reflections on water’ took everyone’s breath away. It also became the launching pad for the much needed Dilly’s Maternity Range. The ‘Dilly’s Maternity Range’ a signature sub brand at Dilly and Carlo has merchandise from comfy lounge wear, day wear, work wear to adorable evening wear – every thing the mum to be needs. Dilani Wijeyesekera, the founder and chairperson also addressed the gathering: “Dilly’s is about intelligent fashion. We respect the wearer while being creative. The clothes are timeless and become great favourites that rescue you when you are at a loss about what to wear. At Dilly’s we always keep the customers’ needs and her body shape in mind, creating clothes that make her more beautiful and confident.”
The Carlo men’s wear brand, a firm favourite is known to make the man feel relaxed, self assured and confident. Always reinventing and evolving Dilly’s has younger brands like Tammy and Carlo boy add to the existing brands like ‘Dillys Moods’, ‘Dilly’s Voyages’ and ‘Dilly’s formal’.
The new store is all about shopping experiences for the entire family. Set up in an ambience of tasteful architecture, you will find a whole line of women’s, men’s and children’s clothing with an incredible range of casual and evening wear, and accessories.
