This promotion is the brainchild of its new Chairman/CEO Hasitha Tillekeratne, who is keen to popularise local arts, crafts, traditions and products.               The special Avurudu promotion will continue from 20 March to 20 April. There will be fabulous discounts of 10-50% on selected items such as carved furniture, leather products, pottery, ceramics, teas and herbal products, aromatic joss sticks, elephant dung paper, silverware and locally-weaved sarees. Sampath cardholders are eligible for discounts of 25% on all items. Laksala invites families to celebrate the unique heritage of the Sinhala-Tamil New Year, which has been faithfully observed since time immemorial. This unique Avurudu event will be held from 6 to 11 April from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at their showrooms in Thunmulla, Museum Gallery Café and Battaramulla.
