The ageless elegance of BULGARI timepieces was unveiled at the Colombo Jewellery Stores flagship store at Alfred House Gardens, bringing the exquisite craftsmanship of the celebrated Italian jeweler and watchmaker into Sri Lanka.
Renowned for showcasing the complex art of simplicity, the latest collection of timepieces including its key brand symbol, the sculptural BulgariOcto encapsulated the contemporary luxury chic that lies at the heart of BULGARI.
Besides the Octo Retrograde renowned for having the world’s thinnest tourbillon having the design hallmarks of purity and intuitive time readings, CJS also showcases the BULGARI flagship women’s watches, the LVCEA signature collection which is inspired by the eternal link of light and time as well as the new masterpieces in jewellery watches seen through the inexhaustible creavitity of the Serpenti collection.
Adding to the range is the DIVA Collection, the broad and rich field of expression that underpins the entire BULGARI style and inspired by the diversity of modern day beauties. Incorporating the iconic BULGARI rainbow arch of multi-coloured gemstones, the DIVA Collection honours women in all their uniqueness, strength and greatness. Both the Papillon Tourbillon Central and Papillon Heure Sautante, inspired by the flight of two new butterflies is unique in the world of Haute Horlogerie. They emphasise the paradox of the infinite simplicity of hours and minutes read-off as being rendered possible by the extreme complexities of time and measurement.
Adding to the extensive collection at CJS is also the Diagono Scuba in both the black dial and the silver opalin dial with its scratch resistant sapphire and mechanical manufacture movement with automatic winding. The BULGARI Roma with its 40 year legacy, incarnates a large piece of watchmaking history having never lost sight of its key values of modernity and contemporariety.
Reiterating his strong belief in timeless elegance, Chairman of CJS Akram Cassim said, “BULGARI marries age-old craftsmanship with contemporary style. With its 130 year history embedding the hallmark of Italian excellence, BULGARI is known for its stylistic audacity and penchant of colour, making its timepieces distinct. Harmonising Rome’s ancient history, you can clearly see BULGARI incorporating that city’s symbolism, while innovating its design for the future.” He also declared that one of Ford Model’s most prized and sought after professional models Adam Flamer-Caldera joins award winning Bollywood film actress Jacqueline Fernandez as CJS Brand Ambassador.
Displaying an exquisite timepiece from the DIVA collection, Jacqueline elaborated that she was indeed proud to be in Sri Lanka, on a day when luxury is surely augmented by CJS. “I’ve always been a BULGARI fan. This is a brand that has become synonymous with brilliant colour, symbolic storytelling and peerless craftsmanship, three elements I identify totally with. These latest timepieces from BULGARI embody that timeless sense of exquisite beauty.”
Bulgari Watch Expert and Senior Wholesale Manager Fulvio Manini and Wholesale Consultant ZahirIrani, both from Bulgari’s South Asian Operations were also present at the launch.
