DSI officially launches ‘Salvio,’ special range of shoes for diabetes patients

‘Salvio,’ a specially-made range of shoes for diabetes patients shoes from DSI, has come to the aid of diabetes patients in Sri Lanka, enabling them to walk with comfort and the assurance that daily walking activities would not cause any harm to their sensitive feet. The official launch and a special programme to raise awareness among the community was carried out at the Diabetes Day exhibition and educational programme which was held at Mihilaka Madura – Eco Auditorium, Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall on 15 November, to mark International Diabetes Day 2014. A parallel event was also carried out at Samanala Grounds, Galle with the same purpose.
