The place of the colourful and ubiquitous flip-flop in local fashion has been reaffirmed, with one of Sri Lanka’s most popular singing duos Bhathiya and Santhush endorsing ‘Beat’ the popular flip flop collection of the country’s heritage footwear brand DSI.

D. Samson and Sons Ltd., the Marketing and Distributing arm of the DSI Samson Group has signed on the iconic twosome, widely known as ‘BnS’ as Brand Ambassadors for the ‘Beat’ range of flip flops, which the company says has established a strong name for itself on account of its vibrant colours and attractive designs developed by creative product designers and island-wide availability.

Retailing from Rs. 300 upwards and available in vibrant colours and graphics in the most in-demand sizes of 4 to 10, DSI Beat flip flops appeal to a wide cross section of users ranging from teenagers to those nudging middle age because they are trendy, fashionable, comfortable and hardy, said D. Samson and Sons Ltd. Senior Manager Marketing Upendra Gunawardhana.

“Bhathiya and Santhush represent several values and personality traits that are associated with the Beat collection,” he said. “Beat slippers are modern, energetic, friendly and quirky, and are always in style.”

“BnS has been synonymous with the pulse of youth for the past decade or so and is still at the crest of fame and popularity,” Gunawardhana added. “This partnership will enable the brand to further enhance its credibility as well as its reach, which is supported by DSI’s island-wide availability through its own showrooms and extensive dealer network.”
