Dulux Ambiance Miss Intercontinental to generate world wide publicity for Sri Lanka

This October sees Sri Lanka hosting one of the most celebrated international beauty pageants in its 45th year. That is none other than the Dulux Ambiance Miss Intercontinental 2016. For the first time in 20 years a global pageant with such enormous significance will be held in South Asia and Sri Lanka will be the proud host of the pageant this year. 

Having competed with over 80 countries to be the preferred destination and with over 60 contestants from around the world visiting Sri Lanka for the Dulux Ambiance Miss Intercontinental 2016 beauty pageant, it indeed will create a sea of opportunities for Sri Lanka to promote herself as a safe haven for tourists looking forward to enjoy the sun, the sand and the hospitality of this island nation.

The contestants will be accompanied by family members, friends and well-wishers and the event is set to draw more than 100 foreign partakers. The pre-pageant tour will see the contestents travelling around Sri Lanka visiting the island’s tourist hotspots courtesy of concept partners Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts covering famous historical sites and much sought after tourist destinations such as Habarana, Trincomalee, Beruwela and Colombo. They will also engage themselves in adventure activities and will also vie for mini titles during the two weeks leading to the finale. The pageant is sure to create a massive social media following globally with infinite possibilities to market Sri Lanka as a destination.

 The pre pageant tour will gain much momentum with over 750 plus original images and content projected to be posted online by the contestants themselves and their supporters during the days leading to the grand finale. Furthermore, Miss Intercontinental 2016 will see the participation of well renowned celebrities in the calibre of Grammy nominated producer Jim Beanz , Apache Indian of ‘Boom Shack a Lack’  fame and the much celebrated music artist Destiny. These Celebrities will also create much social momentum through their channels and generate massive fan following that will result in greater publicity for Sri Lanka, Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts and the 45th Miss Intercontinental Pageant itself. Cinnamon Bey Beruwala will be transformed to become the home base for Miss Intercontinental Pageant, as the contestants will be staying at the hotel during the period of the rehearsal and grand finale. The finale will feature a ‘fairy tale’ theme that will run throughout the whole event. The event will be followed by an exclusive after-party with more celebrity performances other than the main events line up.

Dulux Ambiance Miss Intercontinental 2016 conceptualized by Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts and powered by EGB and Litro Gas will be held at Stein Studios on the 16th of October 2016 from 6pm onward. 

Tickets for the pageant will be available on www.wow.lk and Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo (10am -5pm) and are priced at Rs. 3,500, Rs. 5,000, Rs. 7,500 and Rs. 10,000.
