Echoes of Heaven II – 2012: A tremendous success

Organised by the Batch of ’93 of St. Sebastian’s College Moratuwa, Echoes of Heaven II came to life and was a tremendous success, drawing a full-house at the Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre on Sunday, 4 November.  

This vibrant event was graced by many dignitaries and distinguished guest such as Most Rev. Dr. Joseph Spiteri the Apostolic Nuncio in Sri Lanka, the Chief Guest for the evening, His Lordship Rt. Rev. Dr. Maxwell Silva the Auxiliary Bishop of Colombo, a distinguished old boy of St. Sebabstian’s College, His Lordship Rt. Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Fernando the Auxiliary Bishop of Colombo and the First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa as the Guest of Honour.  The choristers of St. Sebastian’s College Moratuwa, Holy Family Convent Colombo 4, St. Joseph’s College Colombo 10 and Our Lady of Victories Moratuwa presented mesmerising performances along with dance acts by the Channa-Upuli dance troupe and a collaborated performance by the St. Sebastian’s Choir and Bathiya and Santhush.  The night came to an end with a magnificent baila performance by the St. Sebastian’s choir which highlighted the musical talent of Moratuwa, making the evening memorable and enjoyable for all who were present.
