‘Evergreens Live’ takes to the stage tonight

Melodies of the seventies and the eighties will be brought to life when Annesley Malawana and the Super Chimes together with a host of other guest artistes take to the stage at the Musaeus College Auditorium this evening at 7 p.m. The ‘Evergreens Live’ is a musical show organised by The Management Club (TMC) which will showcase the ever popular hits of the ’70s and ’80s. Annesley Malawana and his band Super Chimes will perform with 10 others – Mariezelle Gunathilleke, Anil Bharathi, Priya Peiris, Walter Fernando, Ronnie Leitch, Dharmaratne Brothers, Rajiv Sebastian, Priyantha Fernando, Neil Warnakulasuriya and Paul Fernando who captivated the audiences during that period. The three hour show, with the inimitable Vijaya Corea as the compere, will no doubt enthral the audience bringing back nostalgic memories and is sure to set the trend for toe-tapping and singing along. The extra sparkle and colour to the show will be added by the Channa-Upuli dance troupe with their magnificent performances on stage during the show. There will also be an entrance ticket draw too where the lucky winners would walk away with air tickets. A limited number of tickets for the show priced at Rs. 2,500, 1,500, 1000 and balcony at 500 will be available for sale at the Museaus College from 10 a.m. this morning. www.ticketslk.com also has a special promotional offer.
