Fashion Bug celebrates Valentine’s Day with ‘Love Rush’

  Sri Lanka’s premier fashion retail store Fashion Bug was a hive of activity this Valentines season when the ‘Love Rush’, a promotion conducted together with YFM had lovers rushing to Fashion Bug outlets island-wide. The promotion took the form of a competition that was aired on YFM commencing 26 January where 10 questions were asked of listeners from 1 to 10 February, with one question being asked every day. Participants were asked to send their answers to YFM via SMS with one lucky winner being selected on a daily basis totalling 10 winners in all. Subsequently all 10 winners, together with their partners were invited to come to Fashion Bug’s Maharagama Branch on 14 February to participate in a competition where they were given the enjoyable task of ‘free’ shopping to the value of Rs. 15,000 per couple within a period of two minutes. 10 lucky couples walked away with bulging bags, immensely satisfied with their purchases and looking forward to Fashion Bug’s next promotion. Fashion Bug is making strides in the retail clothing industry in Sri Lanka keeping up with the changing lifestyles of today’s fashion conscious Sri Lankan man and woman. “We are making changes in our clothing lines as we speak. Sri Lanka today has acquired a superior palette when it comes to fashion and we are keeping up with that. Our consumer is fashionable, sensible and well informed and we intend to keep giving them exactly what they want,” said Fashion Bug Director Shabier Subian. Subian went on to say that this was just one of the many promotions Fashion Bug regularly conducts to reward its loyal customer base. “The young and the young at heart are very much an integral part of Fashion Bug’s customer base and we always try to cater to them,” said Subian. Fashion Bug was founded in 1994 in Bandarawela with a seven member team, the first shop being a mere 500 square feet in Bandarawela town. The brainchild of Founders Rizal and Ashan Subian and A.C.M.
