Fashion Bug opens in Matara

Monday, the 18th of March 2013 marked yet another milestone in Fashion Bug’s journey towards its vision as its 18th branch was inaugurated in the heart of the city of Matara by Minister Luxman Yapa Abeywardena and a host of distinguished guests.



Moments after the grand opening, the newest branch was teeming with enthusiastic shoppers of all ages and backgrounds, browsing the vast array of latest trends on display.

The event that was officiated by Minister Luxman Yapa Abeywardena was also graced by Member of Parliament and Chairman of National Cricket Selection Committe- Sanath Jayasuriya, Mayor of Matara Soseendra Handunge, Matara Municiple Council Commissioner- Ranjith Yapa,  Former MP of Kamburupitiya- Chandrakumara Vijaya Gunawardena, Former Chief Minister of Southern Province- H.G. Sirisena,  HQI of Matara- Hemal Prashantha, President of Matara Trade Association- H.B. Rukman, Chairman of Matara Merchent- Hemapriya Jayathilake, Chairman of D.K.W. Group of Companies- Mohan Surendra and Chairman of Deen Brothers- Najeebdeen

Congratulating and offering his best wishes to Fashion Bug, Minister Luxman Yapa Abeywardena reiterated the importance of all ethnicities forging ahead, united as one nation in bringing about a phenomenal economic renaissance in Sri Lanka. He commended the intelligent citizens of Matara, commenting on the multitude of people who had come for the opening, for having an admirably open mind and renouncing baseless, extremist propaganda and being a part of the celebration.
