Sri Lanka’s largest online travel company, findmyfare.com, recently hosted the first-ever ‘Valentine’s Boot Camp’ for couples at the AVANI Kalutara Resort.
The event brought together 10 couples who battled their way through a series of challenging games and activities in order to secure the highly-coveted grand prize, an all-expenses paid luxury trip to the Maldives over the Valentine’s Day weekend.
The activities were designed to test how well the couples knew each other as well as their ability to work together as a team. Newlyweds Afthab and Zeenath Azeez scored the highest number of points and won the first prize, a romantic Valentine’s getaway to the Maldives with free Business Class air tickets from SriLankan Airlines, luxury accommodation, chauffeured transport and a voucher from the World Duty Free Group worth $ 100.

Shama Perera and Dhanushka De Silva secured the second prize, a stay at the AVANI Bentota Resort and Spa, while Shehani Mendis and Udantha Pathirana won the third prize, a voucher for an exclusive Valentine’s dinner at the Shore by O.
The ‘Valentine’s Boot Camp’ is the first marketing event of its kind in Sri Lanka and is part of Findmyfare.com’s ongoing effort to engage with its customers and connect with them in a fun and different way.
The activities included a jet skiing and kayaking challenge, where ladies were dropped off on an island and their significant other had to bring them back to shore. Other activities included a wheelbarrow race and an obstacle course which involved couples working together to race over sandy terrain. Findmyfare.com’s ‘Valentine’s Boot Camp’ was co-sponsored by SriLankan Airlines and Standard Chartered Bank. AVANI Kalutara Resort and the World Duty Free Group also supported the event as associate sponsors.
