Pure Life Solutions yesterday launched the first-ever eco-friendly cleaning solutions range in the country in order to reach customers with products that don’t contain any chemicals, mainly focusing on the safety of the consumer and environment.
The new range of eco-clean products is produced by the parent company Super Colloids Lanka Ltd., a company already in the process of producing ecologically-sound products.
The Eco Clean products of Pure Life Solutions comprise general household cleaning items such as hand wash, baby accessories, sanitiser, multipurpose cleaner, antibacterial baby laundry detergent, fruit and vegetable cleaner, dish wash and laundry detergent.
Direct Solutions Director of Strategy Ian Ramsden speaking why we need eco-friendly products said: “The chemicals we use in everyday life build a vicious cycle of more consumption/more absorption. It’s similar to compound interest, but this time it’s not in a bank.”
The parent company Super Colloids Managing Director M.S.M. Rifkhan said that human consumption of harmful chemicals has resulted in serious illnesses. “My aim was to do something positive for my fellow Sri Lankans and this eco-friendly range of chemical free product is the result,” Rifkhan stated.
The Eco Clean products are available in 500ml to 200ml containers for ease of use. These containers are also made from recycled materials. The products mainly include coconut oil, palm oil and corn oil, staying true to its eco-friendly concept.
Company officials emphasised on the price affordability in spite of being a premium product with high quality ingredients and benefits.
The Managing Director told the media that his main concern was creating something that did not damage either people or the environment. “I didn’t want to add to the chemical build up and I wanted something that would not damage the environment when disposed of or build up residue in the soil that would last for many years,” he added.
The product range was developed following extensive research on a world-wide basis, not only into what people were most concerned about, but also the products that people found easy to use.
The product uses finest ingredients and they have to be of the highest quality to meet rigorous international quality standards. The Eco Clean products can be purchased at major supermarkets and pharmacies in Colombo, however the company will be rolling out the products islandwide as soon as possible.
Super Colloids, the parent company, has been in the industry since 2009, meeting superior cleaning needs of hospitals, laundries, hotels and other major companies. Pure Life is its subsidiary company focused on targeting the retail consumer with high profile (cleaning and detergent) products.
Minister of Environment and Renewable Energy Susil Premajayanth and other officials from the company also attended the event.
