A light cookery workshop with wraps, smoothies using seasonal and fresh vegetables and healthy ingredients for kids aged 6-15 years will be held on 16 May at these restaurants and times; The Bayleaf: 12 noon – 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. at Colombo Fort Cafe, The Commons and Park Street Mews. Kids who wish to participate can register at any of the restaurants at www.harposonline.com by 15 May (open to a limited number of kids).
“Our intention is to educate children about food, by learning how to cook from scratch and creating awareness of the importance of healthy eating, by participating on the global day of action on Friday 16 May. We already conduct regular cookery workshops for kids at The Bayleaf and at Colombo Fort café. For the first time to conduct this across all our restaurants, coinciding with the celebrity chef, Jamie Oliver’s ‘Food Revolution Day’, is ideal for us to identify with a global workshop,” said Harpo’s cafes & Restaurants MD Harpo Gooneratne.
