Breakfast is an important start to the day anywhere in the world, and McDonald’s wants more people to enjoy the value of breakfast with a free egg burger at the nearest McDonalds. The McDonald’s Egg Burger was first introduced in USA in 1971 and remains one of the most popular items on McDonald’s Breakfast Menu. “Due to the huge response last year, we are bringing back National Breakfast Day again, to remind people about waking up to better mornings with breakfast. Breakfast is a significant business for McDonald’s, and we know the convenience of a hot egg burger on-the-go makes breakfast so much more accessible for people who are often caught up in the morning rush. Our restaurants are ready for National Breakfast Day again this year. This is an event that resonates with our customers, judging by the queues for our free egg burgers last year,” said Rusi Pestonjee, Managing Director of McDonalds Restaurants in Sri Lanka. “We continue to see exponential growth in our breakfast business – and want to demonstrate that our delicious, quality and affordable breakfast is a convenient way to start the day,” he added. McDonald’s Restaurants at the eight locations in Colombo and suburbs offer an extensive Breakfast Menu and it starts at an affordable price point of Rs. 100. McDonald’s breakfast menus include Egg Burger, Omelette Burger, Egg and Sausage Burger, Hash Brown, Seeni Sambol Burger and a range of the finest Arabica Coffee. New options featuring traditional Sri Lanka flavours are added on to the McDonald’s menus from time to time.
